Making Peace Sustainable
Mandar describes himself as “Thought Leader, Social Innovator, Meditation Teacher and Storyteller”. He adds: “I collaborate with changemakers, leaders and organizations to reimagine their purpose & impact.”Mandar is the Executive Director of the Cities4Peace initiative of IAHV and a Visiting Scholar in the School for Conflict Analysis & Resolution at George Mason University. He is also part of a working group at the United Nations, where they look into how you can inspire the private sector to invest in peace. They have a strong focus on youth.
In 2017, Mandar produced and directed the film From India With Love, a documentary about a trip to India about the transformational experience of a group of victims of violence across India. In Oct 2018, Mandar hosted the inaugural World Summit for Countering Violence & Extremism that brought together peace activists and law enforcement executives to brainstorm solutions to promote peace and compassion in the world.
Until 2016, Mandar worked at Shell for 17 years at Shell International, where he managed Shell’s GameChanger social innovation program.
