Robin Vincent-Smith has been with Médecins sans Frontières, or in English, Doctors Without Borders. for over 20 years. The first years were working in the field in Ethiopia, Congo, Chad, South Africa, Liberia, and other countries. Now, he’s based in the Operational Center in Brussels, and officially ‘Programme, Change & Knowledge Manager’, but he dislikes job titles. The motto on his LinkedIn page is “Striving for freedom from a job description”.
Robin is particularly working on how MSF is adapting its operations to the reality of climate change and reducing its environmental footprint.
His focus is how people work together. It’s important to say that Robin’s views in this podcast-video are made in a personal capacity and not as an official voice for MSF. We talked a couple of years ago on my Bold New Breed podcast about his work, and today we’re going beyond that. We talk about a wide range of issues around and beyond the humanitarian world. His perspective is unique because it blends reality on the front lines with the big picture of how you can bring change, how you can share learning.
Imaginize.World deals with issues that are critical for us: people and society, AI and humans, the earth and survival. We talk with forward thinkers, scifi visionaries and pioneering organizations.
